Remove him and you will have many to lose

10th Perak Menteri Besar

It is a backward and a suicide act if Perak PR government intends to replace Datuk Seri Ir. Haji Mohamad Nizar Jamaludin as the Menteri Besar although he is not as experienced as others within the state PR fold.

Time will tell and history will judge whether he's able to disperse his responsibility as he should be. If he's not qualified or as many prefer to label him as the accidental MB, it has its merit no doubt. However, since he has been at the helm Perak has progressively moving forward though there are hiccups here and there but overall his administration is viewed as capable of bringing greater height to the tin state. It will a great waste of his immense talent and personality if he's removed from the post. But, even if he is by the grace of Allah he will become a greater leader for the whole nation.

For sure, he has his own unique characters which others believe as significant and useful in order to govern a big state like Perak. Initially he's only the state PAS secretary but his star has supersede others in PR and today the humble yet friendly looking persona is the Chief Executive of Perak.

If he continues to learn and groom himself while remaining the humble person he is, Insya Allah he's a great prospect for any post in the Federal cabinet when and until PR is able to take over the helm of the Federal government in the near future. He is among the new blood in PAS which has been seen from its inception as a conservative party of turbaned old men. He together with Husam and Nasharudin represent the new look of PAS while remaining steadfast to Islamic principle but reflect a more open thinking of PAS although there is nothing wrong the the current old guards like the President and their Spiritual leader. But, having them within their fold is surely an added advantage to PAS to build closer ties with the multi racial society of Malaysia.

I am not that familiar with the situation in PAS or in Perak but looking from the current situation PR should not even think of replacing him with others since under him PR has gained from strength to strength as evident from the entrance of the Bota ADUN. Give him and his excos spaces to mend their ties and learn to work together as friends and families. BN spend 51 years to govern this country but in reality they achieved very little. Just be patient and Insya Allah he'll deliver!

Someday Mohamad Nizar Jamaludin may even be our Prime Minister

PPSMI - Seed of a Down Fall

Everything is going awry for the government adding to the chaos is the debate on PPSMI in which a National Laurette, A. Samad Said enters the fray. He has been quoted to the effect that if the mega demonstration planned at Sogo Complex tomorrow fails to materialised or fall short of achieving its objective, therefore he calls upon all Malaysians to prove their point in the next general election scheduled in 2012.

All are bleak for Pak Lah, once dubbed as 'Mr. Clean' for his spotless background and to inherit a weak government is indeed a mountainous task for the Pm-in waiting Najib. Anyone in their right mind will not sacrifice their heads for a disreputable and on the slide kind of government Pak Lah hopes to leave to Najib in March. But since, the post also comes with attractive packages, Najib is willing to gamble. One is not a true politician if he is afraid to take the plunge.

Everyone is taken aback when TDM first announces in 2002 to have English in place of the national and other native languages as the only medium of instruction to teach and learn Science and Mathematics. But it takes years for the aftershock to wear off, until TDM resigns from the helm in 2003. Today, many start to question the rationality of the 'unconventional' approach. Actually, unconventional is not the right word, foolish and irresponsible should be the term since English, Mathematics and Science have been thorns in the flesh for generations. How can one conceive the rationale of teaching the two 'killer' subjects in another 'killer' language?

But, at that time only few are against its implementation since the majority seen the move as an improvement. An improvement in the process of deteriorating and killing the students' interest to learn those subjects, that is. DBP and teachers are the two front runners in opposing the move albeit silently since teachers especially are under strict order to follow being civil servants.

Using state of the art technology will not help to make it better although after some timer, students tend to familiarise with the approach but since then nothing exceptional has been achieved but only for very rare students from the urban areas.

LEAPS

Do they hate Kermit?

When they seem fit, they allow it

Once they said it was unconstitutional
Since others long for their painful yet sensuous touch
but not for others
only for them
for others it simply unconstitutional

Today
they are facing the reality
the eventuality they once denied
under the guise of the Constitution
it was against human rights
it was wrong to deny freedom of choice
every facet of freedom

Today
when they become the victim
again it is wrong, evil
it is against the wish of the people
it is an act of treachery
it is absolutely unacceptable

TRUE
until today they are still saying
it is wrong, it is an abhorrence
but sadly it is for a different reason

Twisted
their mind, their tongue
they are the knaves
waiting for the moment
to usurp the wish of the People

Is it wrong to be a F.R.O.G?

The above cover page is my own imagination with the assistance of free Internet technology but the content is not, the content is indeed a true representation by popular view creatively captured by KerajaanRakyat.

It is a true and honest reflection of the mass perspective of the coalition in power today. In fact, the same or at least towards the same effect is the predominant view of its own members and supporters. An antic car in a very bad condition yet still terrorising the street!

Due to its sentimental value, few dare to abandon it totally for infinity of reasons but the most significant is the false sense of belonging and indebtedness best captured in the following 'pantun':

Undoubtedly, they have done well in bringing development to this nation but it is their responsibility as the ruling government. Again at what cost? The powerful can do almost anything at the expense of the commoner who elect them at the first place. Remember the palace among run down huts somewhere in Selangor? How a detainee lost his life on the assumption of pneumonia with visible cuts and bruises on his dead and limp body? How the leaders hypocritically call upon the commoner to save and cut while they themselves are bent on spend and expand? They may deserve it but again without the commoners they will only dream of getting their hands on luxury watches, humongous palace and other perks.

There is none who and which will remain forever except the Creator Himself unless they do something unscrupulous, wicked and cunning to remain in power - Mugabe in Zimbabwe. But, as cunning as they can be, those oppressed have the secret weapon - the people's voice or vox populi and once the people have spoken, nothing can hold them not even barrage of rockets like those god forsaken Jews in Palestine or even oppressive laws. In short, they remain in power until the Creator turns the table against them but not after sincere invocation of the oppressed calling for help - divine intervention.

I DO NOT FEAR THE ISRAEL

"I do not fear the Israel. Allah is enough to protect us"

Being hardened by experiences seeing and witnessing the indescribable atrocities committed by those Jew terrorist should not surprised anyone if the statement above comes from a mere child of 7 or 8. Listening to his humbling statement should crush anyone irrespective of his or her origin or faith. Particularly for a Muslim, the statement above serves as a reminder to each and everyone - There's none to fear except HIM!

Such simple yet carries with it a very deep conviction deepen my respect to those Palestinians mostly of course except for some in Fatah and PLO under the disreputable Mahmoud Abas. They seem to forget that the Palestinians have chosen Hamas in a democratic election after having failed to provide what the Palestinians have been praying for for decades - a free and prosperous nation of their own after the good for nothing Jews took it illegally in 1948 with the help of the servant of Satan, British.

Whenever and whoever is interviewed as long as he or she is a Palestinian, the answer reflects their maturity and most important of all his or her unwavering conviction in Him. Subhanallah...praise be to Him. Although everything seems bleak and impossible but we certainly can learn one from them - troubles, difficulties and problems will not deviate them from continued devotion to the one and only Supreme Being. Whilst for some of us, even the slightest test and most of the time we are the culprit, we start to falter and begin to question Him and His Wisdom.

Certainly their faith or Iman is their greatest gift of all since they have nothing but for most of us we have all things imaginable but sadly we don't have the gift unlike them. Come rain or shine, those Palestinians are still strong and become stronger day by day despite being oppressed and living in most of us consider not even suitable for the lowest form of living things. To us, they are living in hell-holes but for them it is still better as long as they can fight against the father of terrorism for another day.

Peace and prosperity in the Land of the Prophets will only materialised when the evil Jews are routed out from the sacred land or at least they accede to being 'tenants' rather than the master of the land. As long as they remain outside the only religion blessed by Him, they will not rest and stop their illegal and inhumane aggression against the sons of the soil.

The Quran has clearly state that Allah will not change the fate of any nation or people except and until they themselves have the initiative to change it. Hence, if any Palestinian leaders sincerely long for His help, they themselves need to correct themselves and swallow their destructive ego since they are actually the ones who prevent the Almighty from extending His help to the Palestinians.

Indeed it is a very sad occasion when every Muslim throughout the world extend and beg for mercy upon the Palestinians even those in Afghanistan who themselves are in dire need of assistance but because of solidarity which is blind to geographical locations they seem to have forgotten their own misery. How romantic is that and how fortunate Islam to have true Believers.

There is power, there is power in solidarity, when we stand, hand in hand. That’s a power, that’s a power that must rule in every land.

Act Fast Before It Is Too Late

We put our faith on a blessed government

Many bad and unfortunate events happen to the present coalition government though only a few admit that there are major revamp exercises need to be done but the PM in his 'lame' comment maintain that those revamps will only take place after March, after the much anticipated UMNO election.

His comment sounds like he has lost all hopes of rescuing UMNO and BN and just like someone who is about to retire he will not do anything and now everything falls on his not so trusted DPM. Looking at the current situation, sadly nothing much can be done by those in power since people especially those younger generation has become more critical of the government's behaviour as evidenced from the Kuala Terengganu by election and the much anticipated Pensiangan snap election later.

After 50 more years heading the government, they have become somewhat complacent and immune to any call of changes particularly those who are holding 'real' power though the grassroots have been calling for immediate and drastic changes - to save the party and coalition. For the first time ever those within the party rank have been very vocal in demanding changes but sadly those calls fall on deaf ears. This is because they have been too accustomed with power and thus voices from the ordinary members are usually manipulated before they reach the top echelon. Look at the MIC strongman who instead of allowing fair competition has influenced the party's disciplinary committee of sacking his would-be contender.

Such development should really sends a clear and loud message to the other side to prepare themselves in the event that the coalition calls for a snap election to secure their waning power. Instead of rhetoric and empty slogan they really need to fine tuned their pact so as to reflect their promise of a better and just government. Decision and hence appointment of a shadow government need to be done immediately.

Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.

Flog The TRAITORS

Soccer is not just about scoring goals - it’s about winning.

Once again Malaysian already pathetic and disgusting football has drawn the attention of every football enthusiast from the know-how to the intense supporter of football. Weirdly, after seeing the decline of Malaysian football from as early as the 90s until today, they keep their unwavering support for the local scenes but unlike those small and amateurish football clubs in England which are able to topple even the giants in England during the FA Cup, League Cup and other domestic competitions ours is the opposite, very grand in names like the Super League, very pampered by the coaches and yet producing dismal and embarrassing results every time they are expected to rise to the occasions. Even China, Brazil or any top women teams will be able to thrash them like ragged dolls. Yes! They are dolls which are smartly dressed having everything they demand yet unable to repay those who have showered them with every thing imaginable - facilities, salaries, allowances, bonuses and most important of all, the undying support from the die hard fans.

Countless suggestions which later translated into implementations have failed to plug the bleeding and frail national team which once is the envy of Asia. No team dare to face the mighty Malaysia once upon a time but today nobody is even without reservation and huge reluctance to play Malaysia since it will never achieve anything as Malaysia today is a far cry from what she is years ago.

Once we have world class coaches but when they come suddenly they lost their touch. All of them don't last long since they face mountainous task in trying to revolutionise the game but they fail miserably as those primadona and their guardian angels keep on hampering the works of those coaches. They gradually become tired and leave or are forced to leave on the premise that they have failed or do they? Immediately after they leave other insignificant nations rush to get their services and voila! those backward nations and virtually unknown suddenly find themselves at the centre stage, leaving Malaysians gaping like fish out of the water.

Those 'footballers' need to be harshly reminded of who they are, professional footballers who are paid not to come up with sumptuous meals but to perform beautifully on the field producing tonne of goals. They have everything from things they ask for or those perks offered to them presumably to motivate them to produce result. They claim to have done their best but it is really harrowing and a nightmare seeing them playing on the field. Those amateur players in England are far better than our professional players. Instead of playing football they look like very bad theatre actors.

Perhaps, its high time for all the die hard fans to abandon the local football scene and turn to other games which have proven to bear results. It is high time to teach FAM and all the state football associations of their misdeeds and sins to not only the fans but most importantly to every Malaysian who has for a long time suffer humiliation and suffering because of horrible players.

It is better to stay at home rather than going to the stadium paying for overpriced tickets for low rate games. If we long for a 'live' game then it is better to watch the kids play or even matches in the villages every evening since the quality of those games are similar to what we will see when we go to the stadium on weekends.

Instead of prolonging his stay, B.Sathianathan need not to think long of leaving the hapless national team waiting for the axe by the toothless FAM. For a very long time, the changes and revolutions promised by the paper-tiger remain on paper forever unfulfilled. Politicians like KJ need to be booted from the governing body if something concrete have to be done since those politicians are just using FAM as their stepping stone towards even sinister personal agendas.

Nonetheless, we need to face the stark reality that our football is really beyond any meaningful help, just like a terminally ill cancer patient waiting for the time to be called to be with his Creator. Legends like Scolari, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger are not even able to treat the cancer besieged football of Malaysia since we have bunch of traitors as the players!

No traitors shall prevail.- George Lincoln Rockwell

UNITY IN DIVERGENCE

There is no surer tie between friends than when they are united in their objects and wishes. - Cicero

Kuala Terengganu will have for its turn, let others dwell on that first. Today, Daily Express pursuits one of the never ending and open ended issue among the Dusuns and the Kadazans following the claim by KSS President that there is no such thing as KadazanDusun. I am with him on this though we belong to different sub groups of the large and complex Dusun ethnicity. In the special report, DE shares the events which lead to the Dusuns being called Kadazans and today KadazanDusun. It starts from a scheme by a very cunning politician to gain political control and mileage on the verge of foundation of Malaysia in 1963.

Notwithstanding his obvious contributions towards the independence and development of Sabah, Donald Stephens, a visionary leader of mix blood is mainly responsible towards the enmity and chaos that the Dusuns are experiencing today. Taking Fauzi Patel's words, Stephens in order to seize the limelight and to be seen as a frontrunner in Sabah prior and after its independence, has bulldozed the idea that every Dusun, irrespective of his or her geographical location will be known solely and only as Kadazan. The reason according to his shallow but cunning mind, Dusun is a term coined by the British to identify those living in rural areas, those who live relatively poor and backdated as compared to the 'Kadazan' who coincidentally live in urban or sub urban areas and therefore are relatively advanced at least from economic point of view. These people as we know dwell mostly in Penampang and Papar which are within arms length from the centre of everything - politics, economy and social activities known later as Kota Kinabalu.

It might be true that such term is coined by the British to make it easier for them to identify and ultimately control the people since being the colonisers they will do their utmost best to downgrade and shame the sons of the soil for their self deserving purposes. Taking the cue, as intelligent as he is, Stephens quickly takes over the helm of the Kadazan Society of Penampang by saying (in Patel's words) that the Chairman, who is a Sino by the way, as being incapable of doing anything. Being a trusted underling of the British and at the same time feeling insecure of his mix blood, his coup is indeed a very sensible way to do.

Immediately, he convenes a congress initially to form a racial based political organisation but there is one major problem, the name of the organisation. He therefore with the help of his supporters including a Dusun from Ranau who later on become the Federal Works Minister try to sell the idea that Dusun, a term he claimed concocted by the British carries with it negative and downward degrading image and identity to the Dusuns as well as the fact that Kadazan brings with it a better image being literally translated into 'town dwellers' or from the word 'kakadayan' which means shops or town. With his charisma and bulldozing tactics, finally UNKO comes into reality. He later on manages to secure another coup by ascending to the title 'Huguan Siou'. Being the Huguan Siou he successfully proves himself to be a full blooded native of the land no more a person with mix blood whom the British consider to be more British than a native!

For decades, the Dusuns have to endure the fact that they are being unacknowledged and sidelined just because their ethnicity connotes backwardness according to some. Fortunately, there's some who albeit discreetly support the formation of the United Dusun Sabah Association (USDA) and at the same time affected the changing of name of Kadazan Cultural Association to KadazanDusun Cultural Association hence, the birth of KadazanDusun. Although now, instead of being the big brother as it supposes to be Dusun becomes the second fiddle to Kadazan. This is certainly tantamount to denying the social and historical facts that Dusun first and foremost is the umbrella of all the Dusun sub ethnics including Kadazan, Lotud, Liwan, Bundu and others.

Nonetheless, we need to be grateful since finally Dusun is starting to gain its former position which has been severely destroyed by those who are ashamed of their own origin. While the rest may have opted for Kadazan because of its so-called negative connotation but for intelligent politician like Stephens, it all comes to power and authority. In fact by championing the Kadazan issue, he inadvertently says that he is ashamed of his mix blood lineage. Although the current KDCA President and the second Huguan Siou in public declares himself to be a Kadazan but how could he allows KCA to become KDCA and let others form USDA if not because deep down he sees himself as a Dusun from Tambunan.

It may be true that Dusun is a term coined by the British since there are various villages or rural dwellers at that particular time like those Bundu, Liwan, Kwijau, Kimaragang and many others. Therefore, to collectively identify them and also for other ulterior motives, the British decide to call them 'Dusun, which other claim to originate from the Malay word to refer to orchards. Nonetheless, such claim has yet to be proven linguistically or from historical perspective. Even if it is true we have to accept it as part of our history and learn from the Philippines which mean the subjects of King Philip of Spain. Such is even more degrading since they are being named after a colonial power and even a local name then. Gradually, they come to accept it and today those nations of countless islands proudly referred themselves as the Republic of the Philippines.

We no longer need to be ashamed of the name since we have come so far and achieved many things at par with and even greater than others. In fact, proud of our own heritage should be inculcated in each and every one of us instead being ashamed and feeling insulted. We can't afford to feel ashamed of ourselves as there are instances when people rather adopt other community's identity rather than using the image and identity of their own.

In fact, younger generation need to be educated of what really happened in 1961 and exposed those who have conspired through the disguise of democratic process to impose their shallow and self serving motives upon the large family of Dusun. These people need to be exposed as traitors to their own heritage and for the cowardly action of imposing their ideas of what people should called themselves. Instead of promoting divergence in unity they decide to bulldoze their way to erase their own heritage. I wonder whether Ganie Gilong still calls himself Kadazan today when the Kadazan themselves refuse to be called KadazanDusun? If he still calls himself that then I believe he is very lonely in Ranau since nobody speaks Kadazan and I bet he too converse fluently in Dusun rather than Kadazan though he is in Penampang!

Having stated the above, it is not my intention to bring dissension and enmity between the Dusuns and Kadazans. It is my intention to bring forward the truth about selfish behaviour of certain leaders to achieve their personal ambitions by deliberately changing the history and heritage of their own people. As for the late Stephens (Al - Fatihah) his intention may only that he wants to belongs and look upon as truly a native which is to certain extent very nobler of him but for others, there's only a phrase you truly deserved 'Shame on you, you ungrateful traitor!'. To those leaders like the Gunsanad brothers, kudos and thank you for sticking to your heritage.

Looking through this bitter episode, it is clear that racial based struggle is not the answer to unite the people since the Creator Himself has intended that humans belong to different race and geographical locations. If He intends it to be the other way than all of us humans will only address ourselves as humans and not Malaysians, Singaporeans and others which denote geographical origin or Dusuns, Kadazans, Ibans, Malays, Chinese and many others. In its unlimited wisdom, Allah SWT in Surah Al- Hujurat: 18 has stated that:

'O people! We created you from one man and one woman and made you branches and tribes that you may recognize one another. Undoubtedly, the most respected among you in the sight of Allah is he who is more pious, verily, Allah is knowing, Aware.'

Although he does not go further by banning other languages and lifestyles but as it is the intention of our Creator that we are to communicate and interact with other races and people, his intention to see only Kadazan as the identity is surely doomed from its inception and will later bring dissension and chaos. It is wrong to force one's own idea and agenda to serve one purposes as we have seen in a neighbouring nation whereby on the surface it seems that they are of one race but deep inside many feel oppressed and sidelined because they are forced to assume an identity of others while their own have to be suppressed.

Between Stephens and Mustapha, the later proves to be a better politician since he manages to unify the people from different backgrounds under USNO. Instead of narrowing the scope, Mustapha sees that Sabah itself is enough to unify and serve his political ambition. Stephens may have wrongly believes that being the majority the Dusuns will become a major force but he seems to forget or decides to ignore the fact that Sabah or North Borneo at that time consists of different races and different races have their own uniqueness. This uniqueness is what Mustapha views as an asset.

Forcing one's ideas will certainly bring animosity among the people though one may only have good intention. Congratulation to Daily Express the excellent piece of history which only a handful know and thank you to those whose sentiment I share that KadazanDusun is in fact a misnomer and a term to deceive the people of the reality.

TOO HEAVY?

The six strokes of the cane imposed by the Pahang Syariah High Court on a Muslim man and woman caught consuming liquor is deemed too heavy by Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis) Chairman, Datuk Syed Abas Syed Ali

The statement by Datuk Syed Abas, Chairman of Sabah Religious Council on the caning of two Muslims by the Pahang Syariah High Court as being too harsh and heavy, is highly regrettable and surprising particularly when it comes from the Chairman of an Islamic Council!

Being a devout Muslim, he should realise that it is incumbent upon anyone particularly those burden with authority and responsibility to uphold and safeguard the sanctity of the faith. I humbly believe he knows the hadith of the Prophet SAW which inter alia states that a leader is responsible towards his subjects and this responsibility includes the strict adherence to religious teachings.

As Muslim and with a heavy responsibility looking after Islam he should instead of criticising the move, support the enforcement since there is no such excuse and leeway when it comes to something which is clearly prohibited by Islam. Before sentencing the two, the court has certainly exhausted its sources to determine the facts. There is a maxim that says it is better to release hundred people rather than sentencing one innocent man.

His suggestion of rehabilitation is certainly laughable since mere rehabilitation without the fear of punishment for transgression is a futile and worthless effort. There is no excuse to say that since we are living in this modern era with advanced technology we should be more flexible when it comes to religion. He should understand that the do's and don’ts have been enshrined in the Quran and from the Sayings of the Prophet as well as the Ijtihad of the Prophet's disciples and later scholars. The Prohibition of liquor comes in stages and Surah Al - Maidah verse 90 delivers the final ultimatum, prohibiting the faithfuls from consuming liquor:

O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination of Satan's handiwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper.

In a hadith reported by Anas r.a, The Prophet is reported to have said that Allah SWT curses among others those who consume liquor.

In fact, six strokes of the cane imposed by the Syariah court is much lighter than what has been practised and accepted as the proper way of punishing for those found guilty of consuming liquor - 80 strokes!

Being modern is not an excuse to have lackadaisical attitude when it comes to religious indulgence and transgression. The Muslims need to realise among the reasons why Muslims and Islam no longer command respect but rather ridicule nowadays is because of our 'liberalism' when it comes to religious practices by giving away too much on those who dare to ridicule and ignore Islamic teachings. Instead of following the teachings of Islam to the letters, we become selective and even argue with those who are more knowledgeable on those matters. We need to return back to the basic as we have pledge our life to serve His commands at least ten times a day through the Syahadah we utter in our five times obligatory prayers - Subuh to Isya', day and night. It is indeed worthless and tantamount to defiance if indeed we are selective and argue the Sunnah of the Prophet.

Muslims today are seen to be much influence with the importance and over dependency on logic and the mind. It is certainly not wrong to use logic and our mind as what certain things should be. But, we need to remember and remind ourselves that logic and our mind faculty however intelligent we are both are still limited in their functions. There are matters which are beyond explanation and logic, death and life themselves are complex and certainly difficult to comprehend if we depend too much on our limited logic. God Himself is an example where logic fails us but still we believe in His eternal existence.

Datuk Syed Abas suggests that Muslims who are guilty of drinking liquor should instead be rehabilitated rather than being punished. He seems to forget that punishment in Islam is itself part of rehabilitation process and deterrence to the offender and others so that they will not repeat the same in the future. Relying too much on rehabilitation will not serve the purpose of making the society learn that certain things are bad. We have seen repeat offenders and recurring drug addicts although they have been through rehab for at least two years.

Disciplinary cases among students today are common and instead of executing a two pronged approach combining punishment and rehabilitation cum education we are too obsess with the latter. Today, we are suffering from this approach as cases of gangsterism, bullying, truancy and many others keep on occurring and the statistics show that it is on the increase. Teachers nowadays are more afraid of the students rather than the opposite. Nowadays, no teacher is ready to become disciplinary teacher since it is a mere post without enough or at least effective authority to make the students tow the line.

I beg us to compare students nowadays with students of yesteryear. The differences are humongous and we can see the quality of previous generation of students whereby they are more successful and most importantly they have high sense of respect towards others and the laws unlike new generation who view regulations as something that one can override and nobody dare to tell them that they are over the line.

Syed Abas in his wisdom questions the rationale of caning the offenders by saying that there will be thousands who will be caned for consuming liquor. His point to me is that caning is inhumane and a futile effort to curb the offence from happening. He seems to forget that our drug law is among if not the toughest in the world where an offender will lost his life via the rope but still many are undeterred by such prospect. Is he saying that because the law is ineffective we should put a stop to it?

As an educated and at the same time holding a post looking after Islam, his shallow banter seems to defeat and invalidate his job and at the same time seriously put a dent on the credibility of a court in its quest to uphold the teachings of Islam. It is funny when he suggests that the offenders instead of being caned should be confined instead until they come to their senses! Confinement, I truly believe will not solve the problem as well as caning per se but being adults those offenders may have become immune by confinement and a responsible government need to be creative in enforcing the law to bring over changes.

It is futile and worthless to enact such laws if nobody to enforce them. Syed Abas may view such offence as being petty and thus calls for leniency but as petty as it may seem to him, drinking liquor is a major offence since Allah SWT in His utmost wisdom imposed the prohibition in stages until it is finally outlawed by the verse mentioned above. It means we are past the leniency stage whereby we can tolerate such offence.

Muslims will always be looked down by others when we become liberal in our treatment towards behaviour and action clearly transgressing what we are commanded to follow. Others see us as being unfaithful to our own faith when we start making excuses for now following our own teachings. It is certainly bring negative impacts when a person of authority starts to prioritise logic over the letters of his faith. Being the Chairman of MUIS and a descendant of the Prophet SAW (Those with Syed or Shariffah as part of their names are reported to be descendants of the Prophet through his daughter, Fatimah Az - Zahra) he should know better than criticising the decision of a court. Clearly his view brings forward disrepute not only among Muslims but others as well.

The genocide in Gaza and the suffering of the Palestinians should serve as a wake up call to all Muslims to start reforming themselves by returning to basics when it comes to religious observations. To my non Muslims brothers and sisters, you need to understand that coming back to basics does not mean that we Muslims will forsake the world but rather it is to correct the misleading and wrong view that religion is a private matter, instead religion is a concern of everyone and therefore every Muslim will be accountable for his or her undoing for not advising his or her fellow believers.

TO DO OR NOT TO DO....WE MUST DO!

"To you, your religion, to me my religion" - Al - Kafirun

In the heat of the intense campaign in Kuala Terengganu, the DPM who is desperate to prove his mettle has said that one vote for the incumbent party is still significant. Such statement merely proves that size does matter and for those politicians a single vote certainly determine their future like what is happening to the Prime Minister-in waiting. Size or amount though may seems too small but certainly cannot be easily brushed aside.

Sadly and unfortunately when it comes to faith and belief, such small amount is certainly negligible. Commenting on TDM's suggestion that Malaysian Muslims should start boycotting goods which are connected with the good for nothing Israel many including Muslims seem pessimist and cynical. They say among others that boycotting Coca Cola for instance will not serve anything rather it will only cause trouble and problems to Muslims employed by the company.

They, particularly seem oblivious to the Almighty's promise that even an ion of good deed will be rewarded and vice versa an ion of bad deed certainly will not be missed. Believing and even boasting that boycotting a product or products of companies having close ties with those dung infested brains Jews is very regrettable and irresponsible. Being Muslims we need to believe in Him, His promises and His Commands. None qualify as a Believer if one start to be selective and more dangerously rejecting His Promises since He is none other than our Creator!

Muslims need to persevere and patience since unlike humans He never deviates from His Promises of rewards for those who strive to do and be good for Islam. For one can of Coke that we decide not to consume there'll be unimaginable reward for us. Although it seems small but we need to believe that we are actually inflicting damage to those faggots. Being Muslims themselves those employed by Israeli related companies particularly when they have to suffer because of the boycott will understand that they are sacrificing for the sake of their faith. In fact if they are true Believers they may have already left or at least preparing to leave and joining their Muslim comrades in any ways to teach those stubborn Jews.

The Palestinians have been using very unconventional and many view their act of throwing stones towards the solid metal body of the Israelis tanks as something foolish and worthless. I for once have the same view but today I realised that such seemingly foolish act will gradually and have impacts on the Israelis. It is proven when those ungrateful scums unashamedly kill and brutally murder innocent infant children who may not even know their own names yet! Those Israelis are terrified at the sight of those brave stone throwers to the extent of killing those infants so that they will not grow into even braver and determined Mujahids. Despite their lack of proper weaponry the Palestinians never stop using anything to stop their evil and inhumane invaders.

Therefore, it is very sad indeed if we believe that boycotting those goods will not serve anything when other continue to consume the goods. On the surface, it may be true and we'll be at the losing end when we stop using Intel, Nokia and consuming the finger licking good KFC. But we need to be patience and persevere as perseverance and patience have shown that mighty civilisations will succumb and crumble to earth just like what Salahuddin Al - Ayyubi did centuries ago.

I admit that saying is easier than taking action but if we don't even try how can we say that it will be doomed? Everything starts small as in 'A journey of a thousand miles start with a very small step' or Rome is not built within a day'. We need to start somewhere and immediately in our own way though it seems insignificant but gradually it will bear the result we never even imagined. Start by reducing consumption of those products and gradually look for other alternatives. For instance after your sweet smelling Ambi Pur Car has lost its 'sweetness' find other alternatives, you may be surprised when you can get better substitute at a bargain price.

Gradually , I start to understand why some of our fellow Muslims are being labelled extremists and radicals. They are only doing those things to protect and defend themselves and their faith from being suppressed, discriminated and marginalised by those faggots.

Know what? I feel happy and overjoy seeing those Americans in their own land suffering from severe floods, forest fires and all sort of misfortunes since their leaders keep on supporting the genocide in Palestine and wherever Islam and Muslims seem to live. They condone the killings of thousands of innocent children whose parents are fighting to free their land from those filthy dogs. If my view and stand some view as no different from those scums of the earth so be it!

Suddenly I amaze myself when for once I agree with TDM's view...brotherhood is indeed thicker than blood

A Quickie....What?

This one is my shortest ever entry since my hand not hands is full right now but no complaint whatsoever. Will be going to the capital city this coming Thursday n hopefully the weather will be on my side or rather on my other half side since she's the one who'll do all the driving.

Lastly, to all KT voters if you ever 'drop' by, make use of your right carefully and don't let them win...n for the good for nothing Jews once again may you all rot in Hell, which of course you will!

An update should be short and simple

Forgive Me...

Alhamdulillah, praise to Allah when many out there share similar sentiment against a government whose conduct and behaviour are similar to those damned Jews and Americans. This is an observation which is based on bias and by bias it means everyone in his or her right mind should abhore and abandon an authority which though legally chosen by the people but has lost its moral authority and right to condemn another on something they are currently condoning and actively doing in its own country.

The observation may be wrong but if we look into their conduct and they way they govern the nation , we can see a slight difference which is thinly veiled as to what the scums of the earth are doing in the holy land of Palestine.

I wonder why our pleads for protection and help from the Almighty aren't heeded yet....probably because we are doing and practising the same as those good for nothing Jews.

Ya Allah, Ya Ghaffar...Forgive me for I have sinned yet continue to indulge in Your Prohibitions"

EVIL TWINS

Are there any differences between a government which uses the law to promote its own whims and pleasure solely for the purpose of holding unto power and another which uses excessive force to fend off fighters with rocks and woods, the latter are trying to get back their land which was forcefully taken from them in 1948? The answer is very clear and simple ....NONE!

The existence and enforcement of draconian laws while at the same time condemning the Jews in Israel for their brutal and inhumane attacks on the Palestinians is not right and does not hold much influence. Accusing others of being oppressive and evil while doing the same thing to their own flesh and blood is even worst. Those people has no moral right or even any rights at all since they are on the same track with the Jews.

Besides, at least the damned Jews are following what they believe to be their faith under the Zabur and Taurat but sadly there are people who are doing the opposite while claiming and showing themselves to be Muslims. Muslims with a new brand - Civilised Islam as they term it. At the same time they reject Shariah laws particularly the Hadd. They give lots of reasons and most of them by the way are not even logical and reasonable. They seem like those non Muslims among them rejecting their own Creator's commands. At least those non Muslims are opposed to the idea because of their ignorance and misconception but what those so called Muslims have to say to reject the imposition of the Shariah? There are many scholars within their fold so are they claiming ignorance and misunderstanding also?

The Islamic party together with another multiracial party have stressed that Shariah is eligible only to the Muslims. This statement has attracts criticism by the other party which also claim to uphold Islam as being wrong by giving the example during Prophet Muhammad SAW's reign in Madinah whereby Shariah is also applicable to the non Muslims. Instead of supporting the initiative, those people are bent at sabotaging the move. Being Muslims themselves they are supposed to clear the unfounded fear and misunderstanding regarding Shariah among the non Muslims.

Even though Pas is saying that the Shariah is only applicable to Muslims and this is certainly different from the time of Rasulallah SAW but at least there is the intention and the initiative compared to the other party which has been in power for more than half a century since independence. During the period never once they try to promote the idea and educate the others about the concept and advantages of Shariah as paramount laws which puts justice as a core and backbone of the law. Instead of allaying the fear of Shariah they continue to promote unjust laws on the pretext of national security which actually means consolidating and protecting their authority.

Mainstream media which is under their control fail miserably to disseminate the truth about Shariah. Instead they like their Master are doing everything to promote and fan unfounded fear of Shariah. Fortunately, in their wisdom and openness, the Opposition particularly those non Muslims are beginning to understand the situation and superior quality of Shariah. God willing one day, they will readily accept Shariah as the paramount law in the country since Shariah itself puts justice and equality well ahead of everything including those in power unlike what is evident today though a new entity to tackle abuse of power and corruption is in place.

Unlike conventional and man made laws, Shariah which derives its source from divine intervention places justice and human sanctity above all. Under the current criminal law, one will be guilty after the persecution manages to prove beyond reasonable doubts that the accused has committed the offence but under Shariah it needs to proven beyond any doubt and not just probability of it. To condemn a person of adultery there should be 4 credible witnesses and by credible those witnesses should be just and morally upright among others without which their evidence must be rejected. Therefore, it is very difficult to find guilty under Shariah and the most the court can imposed is Ta'zir which does not involved capital punishment. In fact, hanging to death under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drug Act for trafficking is not available in Hadd or Hudud!

Therefore, instead of scaring the mass about Shariah, it is incumbent upon the present authority to allay and simultaneously educate the citizens of the superiority of Shariah as it truly is. Cutting of hands for stealing should not become an image and ambassador of Shariah. There shouldn't be any excuses for not implementing Shariah as what happened to Science and Mathematics which immediately being taught in English after a direction from a very powerful leader. It is not an impossible task unlike running away from death!

One who steals does not have the moral authority to advise others not to steal

Pleadings For Humanity

Why do we need to do something for the Palestinians, against the damned Jews? There are hundreds even countless reasons and logic for the world particularly the Muslims to do something to stop the genocide - immediately.

The Jews have been harping on the sufferings caused by the Holocaust but they seem oblivious to the fact that they are doing the same against the Palestinians in Gaza though they give abundant reasons for doing so. Nonetheless, the fact remains the same, their brutal killings of the Arabs are no different from what they suffered decades ago.

They should be thankful to those 'naive' Arabs for giving and surrendering the land they are now occupied and not punishing those souls. The Palestinians aren't the ones who killed their forefathers during WW II. Instead, those damned Jews should direct their attacks towards the Germans!

If the Americans are bent on supporting the genocide than the world needs to suggest to those scums to surrender Alaska or Hawaii to the damned Jews on immediate effect. Let the Jews build their nation on a friendly soil - United States. Let the ungrateful Jews turn against those Americans and eventually renamed Uncle Sam to Uncle Shalom or whatever name they prefer. But again, who on earth are willing to surrender their land to a blood thirsty race? None! Never!

With the minds and technology, those Hell raisers should established their own nation in the middle of the Pacific, Atlantic or even venture into outer space. They have the money and brain to do such mundane task since they forever boast of having great intellectuals among them like Einstein and Freud. The hell raiser and blood thirsty they really are, they prefer to plunder, ransack, colonise, attack, steal, cheat plus all sort of things to make West Bank their own.

Sadly, many of our Christians, Buddhists, Hindus neighbours mistakenly view the genocide as a matter exclusively as Muslims problem therefore except for a few weal lip service they continue their life as if nothing happen. Many of those who died are Christians and therefore those Christians too are responsible to stop the oppression by the Jews.

Leaders of the world need to immediately abandon their over dependence on the US, the promoter of evil and start doing business using their own currencies or even better gold, which is actually the only best solution to replace 'overvalued' yet worthless piece of papers called money. None will die if we discard and leave the US totally, in fact they are the ones who will suffer the most since nobody trust them anymore. The recent economic downturn has shown that the US herself is vulnerable and weak and has to depend on others like China for her own survival. The current crisis is indeed a golden opportunity to teach those filthy Americans.

As for the commoners like us without the necessary power to inflict bodily harm against those twin scums of the US and Israel, the only avenue available is to inflict economic disaster against Jews owned companies or their symphatisers. Coca Cola, Ambi Pur, Intel, IBM, Danone, McDonald, KFC, Nokia and the rest should be avoided as if they carry the most contagious diseases we ever know. Along the way, many of our own will suffer but it is for the good of all and everyone need to make sacrifices one way or another, to realise one common objective - to see the end of USA and Israel.

Well, it is easier said than done but it still needs to be done. We need to stop purchasing and using those merchandise and change to other products. Indeed it is an uphill task since the evil fingers of the Jews are everywhere nowadays but with great humility and undeterred believe that the Almighty is here to help than we will be fine in the end. We just need a lot of courage and determination and of course faith in Allah SWT.

THE BOLEHLAND DEMOCRACY

Men are often biased in their judgment on account of their sympathy and their interests.
George William Norris

The independence struggle more than 50 years ago in the Peninsular heavily relied on the 'brains' not only for material but also ideas. Those brains continue to dominate today's political landscape. They are teachers. Today, despite of the presence of professionals, teachers still play an important role in the survival of political parties particularly UMNO like this guy.

He is a senior officer in the Terengganu State Education Department and also holding a senior post in UMNO. Public servants are supposed to be neutral and by neutral it means they cannot hold any posts in any political parties. This is particularly true and carries with it a significant effect if one is a senior official like the one mentioned above. Under the General Orders which bind all government officials, he is liable for disciplinary action but it is very remote and even impossible since he's with a party which controls the government.

He is one of many teachers who are actively involved in politics by holding senior posts. In March, many will have to apply for leave since they will be busy at PWTC for the annual general meeting cum election. Yet, I am sure there will be no action taken against them since they 'represent' the government. However, it is very doubtful if one is affiliated with the opposition which stern action is waiting for them for going against the General Orders.

Public servants are usual coaxed and forced to vote for the ruling party as like the person mentioned above who boastfully claimed that 5000 teachers will support the BN candidate in P36 by election which its former representative coincidentally was a former senior officer with the Education Ministry as the Director of Teachers Training Division before resigning to contest in the election.

This is indeed Malaysian style democracy whereby everyone is forced against his or her better judgement to vote for the ruling party. I remember a few days before the 12th general election in March during a staff meeting, our boss conveyed a 'persuasion' from the higher ups to vote for the ruling party@ coalition. It is democracy for government officials to vote and elect candidates from the ruling coalition but it is never a democratic action if one is to vote for the other party or parties outside the never to err coalition.

Yes, it is true that in the end those government servants are free to vote for any candidates they like but it always come with some sort of threat by their bosses to vote only for the 'Brahman' coalition. It is never without any strings attached to our democratic practice here in Bolehland. Their reasoning is very simple yet very shallow and totally wrong - since you are paid by the government therefore you must vote the party which control the government. Hellooooo....the salaries come from ourselves and others who are paying all sorts of taxes thus it is actually the people who are our employer not the party which I sincerely believed is not paying any taxes at all except for membership or annual fees.

Politicians are like whores yet without the looks professional whores possess

I am sorry for being ungrateful and unappreciative

We seldom appreciate someone until after we are apart

It was 1982 when we moved to our current residence and being very young and yet to enter school I did not know anyone there. Recalling the yesteryear make me realise that I am not good at socialising and prefer to be on my own.

She lived across from ours and I really could not recall the moment and how we got acquainted and became friends. I guessed it occurred naturally since our parents especially my mom was close with her mom. They came from Kundasang. She was actually the fourth. She had a brother who was a lot older than me and naturally we got acquainted and if memory doesn't fail me we were like siblings rather than just friends. We did lots of things and our homes were like homes to each other but we spent those times most at ours.

She was very mobile and what remains in my mind today is her 'boyish self'. Once I asked my mom whether she was a he or a she and my mom good naturedly said of course she is a she. Being young and naive I replied " I want to be like her". Ahahaha....to be a girl instead of a boy. How naive...

When we started school, we drifted apart until she was accepted to SMESH or that time SBPS while I continued mine back home. Although, we were no longer close but I kept myself to date with her progress and one of the motivating factors helping me to be who and what I am today is her. My endeavour to excel is because I want to compete with her, a person I truly believed to be better than me.We seldom meet (We never see each other actually) and the only time was through letter back in 1992. I remember the year because that was the year in which Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra passed away.

She later continued her study and that was that. Nothing significant until 2002 if I'm not mistaken during New Year's eve. My parents asked me to her home as some sort of a companion to her husband. I reluctantly went, reluctantly because I did know exactly how to socialise with people especially those who are strangers.

Then a few years ago, together with her family she visited us during 'Eid but I wasn't there to greet or entertain her as a friend would and should be. Don't get me wrong, I do not hate her and I am not making excuses here. I know I am a terrible friend and for that I apologise.

She 's now happy with her new family and before I saw her posting in her blog I stumbled upon her picture in her niece's blog.

Why do I bring all these up after all these years? I guess its because of guilt for not appreciating her as a friend. Not a mere friend but she's like my first ever friend who accepted me as I am.Well, maybe in the future with Allah's grace we'll get reacquainted. To my dear neighbour, I am sorry for my 'reclusive' behaviour.

I know she has been reading my posts and even commented in one of my entries but the fool I am, I ignored her until today when I read her post. She did not mentioned my name but immediately I realised she was actually writing about a friend of hers whom she described as a changed person. Well, I have changed and again my sincere apology. You must be hurt having a terrible friend like me....

Dear neighbour, if you happen to read this, "Moki ampun oku noh dot nokoruol ginawo nu"

Bleak 2009

Look at those ungrateful infidels!

After a few days hiatus (or is it?) this is my first entry for the Gregorian New Year of 2009 but unlike others I am not going to share my dreams, shattered dreams whatsoever with anyone. This blog of mine is seldom about myself as I prefer to write on issues concerning the mass which of course may or may not concern me.

2009 as many hopes it will be presents a more peaceful world but it is a very very remote phantasmagoria from phantasmagorical-infested brains. I read in the news that while others celebrate the coming new year with firecrackers and joy our brethren in Palestine are actually doing it differently which involves them losing their life and getting maimed by the heathen Jews. Surprisingly, the most we can do is protest and condemn which are later put on papers tuck away in piles of files in voluminous drawers somewhere. By doing such foolish and unproductive ways we 'honestly' think that the blood thirsty Jews will back off. Eat my foot!

Suddenly I remember a comment I made to my reformist friends which I think touch their sensitive nerve. It was during the height of the Reformasi Days back in 1998. My friends and some others were planning of organising a kind of demonstration within the campus which I thought was foolish and will not serve any purpose other than getting themselves in more trouble not only with the police who were rumoured to be everywhere and the university authority. Hence, my 'naive' but honest observation. " Is it enough and isn't a waste of time?"

They were furious but looking at the scenario what will they gained from such idiocy since all of us were aware of the injustice and majority if not all the students were sympathisers of the sacked DPM. To my amazement those who were supporters of the ruling coalition too showed some sympathy towards the sacked DPM though it did not last. Today, many of those supporters and sympathisers are back within the fold as if nothing happened!

Wouldn't it be better if something concrete and having obvious and vivid effects done against these oppressors? Instead of just talking, the wealthy Islamic nations should really walk the talk just like what the Hezbollahs did in Lebanon. The mighty and more sophisticated Jews were not as tough as they looked like. How could an organisation like al-Qaeda inflict serious damage to the USA back in 2001? How could Salahuddin al-Ayyubi managed to rid Baitul Muqaddis from the good for nothing Jews? Lastly, how could a mere and ill equipped 313 Muslims soldiers managed to humble a mightier army of infidels in the early years of Islam?

The Muslims have everything at their disposal to inflict damage, destruction and fear among those who dare to challenge the sanctity of the faith. They have the wealth and most important of all they control the black gold. Yet, they will not or cannot do anything to help their brothers in distress. What they will and can do is only talk and talk and more talk like the impotent Oh I See.

Today the oil price is moving upward and looking at the trend it is not a totally wrong to say that the aggression against the Palestinians is economically related. For those who despise America, just think for a moment is it really the Americans who are at fault? The predicament suffered by the Palestinians originated back in 1948 when the British just like the colonialists divided the land and giving part of the Palestine to the heathen Jews. To all the Mujahids out there Britain too need to be taught a lesson, maybe even more devastating than 9/11.

The Muslims were once the best there were because of their pure and simple faith in Allah. The only way the Muslims to teach those infidels a lesson they will never forget should start with an intense soul searching and self purification. If the Palestinians are doing today, by throwing stones and outdated rockets, is based on nationalism then forever they will not succeed but if they throw even the smallest stone towards the Jews only because of their undying and pure love of God, then believe it or not it will do wonders beyond our imagination.

We don't need a new brand of Islam like Islam Hadhari or whatsoever the politicians are thinking of. Coming back to basic is what we need to do. Restart of journey in looking purely for His Grace and everything will be in order. We have heard or read on how the fighters lead unIslamic ways by drinking alcohol, taking drugs, raping, adultery while claiming that they are doing the fighting under Allah's name. It might not be true but look at the facts they are still fighting and not winning instead they are losing.

I am not the best Believer there is and my post might not even the slightest impact on today's world but hopefully out there this 'insignificant' entry is able to awaken the slumbering souls of my fellow Muslims.

"There goes my first 2009 entry - always emotional but meaning well, I hope"
