Justice Behold!

The disclosure by Justice Ian Chin adds another blow to TDM or is it? Being in power for so long, such might not dent his already thick skin. Furthermore, such revelation at a time where and when people already know about the sorry condition of the Judiciary, may be suspect to ulterior motive although His Honour gives the reason behind his 'shocking' revelation.

If what His Honour said is true then it adds another blow to the already tainted image of the Judiciary as being below the standard and status which it supposed to occupy. Long gone is the era when Malaysian Judiciary is looked upon for unbiased justice, without fear or favour. Being a no nonsense judge Justice Ian is indeed a mere mortal who has fear but most importantly he in his position has shown that when it comes to justice, nobody should interfere with intimidation whatsoever in dispersing justice to those deserving it.

Such disclosure though as I mentioned above is suspect since it is a non issue as nobody will know about them except for those involved and none has come forward so far to share those alleged misconduct by the highest authority. Why now? Why not exposing those misconduct during the time of the then Premier? If what Justice Ian said is truer than he should utter those while TDM is still in power just like what Justice Kamil Awang and the late Justice Harun Hashim did when he declared UMNO as illegal. If his is based on the fear of being sidelined or brought to the tribunal and that nobody would listen since it involved the PM, then he is no different from the rest since what he has done tantamount to obstructing justice.

History will judge those who try to uphold justice though not in their life time. Once Tok Janggut, Datuk Bahaman and Paduka Mat Salleh were branded as traitors by the British but today they are heroes of the people. Let the people be the judge of such disclosure and if one is being sincere sooner if not later justice itself will prevail just like what happened to Tun Salleh Abas, Datuk George Seah, Tan Sri Sulaiman and the rest.

Being the persons given the authority and heavy responsibility to uphold justice, those Justices should not hold anything back and keep to themselves damning evidences of gross misconduct and abuse of power by the executive or others. The people deserve to know and protected by those malpractices. What Justice Ian has done is of course commendable but personally I would say that it is a bit too late and serves no evident purpose other than corrupting his own impeccable stature.

P/s: So far TDM has refrained to comment on such disclosure, but being the true politician Iam sure he'll be affected by such.

"With authority comes responsibility and and with it comes obligation."
